Professional Artist
Aaron Adams
As an artist, I do at the time what seems to suit my mode for expression best. I have reverted to more of a private artist as I’ve gotten older and use drawing and painting more as a way to deal with my anxieties and thoughts. Where as I do love to paint and draw, I see myself as more of a composer and like to think about my art as more of a visual music or rhythm on display. I originally come from an illustration background, but always loved to try new things. When I moved to Florida I had the chance to paint more and work on that craft to the point you see now.
Title: “Sarcophagus I”
Size: 65″ X 84″
Inspiration:
There are two Sarcophagus paintings. The inspiration for these pieces were a friend passing and the mental states that come along with it. My goal was to achieve was to visually articulate feelings of sadness, worth, denial, understanding, and lastly, death. Where one of the paintings is clearly that of two sarcophagus, the other is that of the mind and breaking free of a deathly state of thought.
