It’s been raining and windy for the past several days but the weather channel said it was going to rain until late in the evening and dry the next morning. So I grabbed my painting and camping gear and headed for Mount Pisgah on the the blue ridge parkway. I set up camp by 4pm fixed myself some supper and headed for Pounding Mill Overlook, Milepost 413.2, Elevation: 4700′. I painted from 5pm till 8pm and so finished the first look at Looking Glass Rock. It can be seen from 5 other overlooks on the parkway so here’s number 1 of 6. Enjoy.
