CURRENT EXHIBITION

“MIRAME” is a collective portrait show featuring 9 artists.

The meaning of the word “mirame” translates to “look at me” in English from Spanish.

Looking at a subject to study it and interpret it is almost an innate action for us, as artists or as a simple observant. In a portrait the subject normally is looking at the artist, for the artist to capture emotions, expressions, and to try to portray their personality.

The artist is asking the subject to look at them in order to portray them, but at the same time, the subject is asking us, through the artwork, to look at them, “MIRAME”. – Ana Lopez.
